The back pack armor was created by Tony Stark so that he could have Iron man suit with him in case of an emergency.
The Back pack armor contains features such as: Incoming Call, Discounting Call, Heat Shields, Lasers, Computer, Jet Boots, Environmental Alert, Contact List, etc. The armor also uses anti gravity tech so it's not so heavy.
